Terahertz technologies are widely used in various fields of science including physics, chemistry, bio-photonics, etc.

Recently, we developed a method to quickly and precisely determine the polarization direction of the terahertz pulse (N. Yasumatsu and S. Watanabe, Rev. Sci. Instrum. 83, 023104 (2012).), which should be useful to study "terahertz polarimetry" in various fields of science.

We pursuit such a new direction of optical measurements and try to suggest novel methods to precisely determine the optical properties of condensed matters.
