in Quantum Many-Body Systems (TEDQMB)

 Information
Scope: Over the past two decades, the concepts of topology and entanglement have fundamentally advanced our understanding of quantum many-body systems. Examples range from the band topology of insulators and superconductors to entanglement characterizations of topological order and symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases. More recently, the subject has seen a crucial extension to non-equilibrium phenomena, including the dynamical responses of solids and fluids and the controlled dynamics of quantum devices.

This workshop is designed to bring together leading researchers working on the critical interplay of topology, entanglement, and dynamics for intensive, collaborative discussions and a vibrant exchange of ideas.

While preparing this workshop, we have received the exciting news that two of our speakers, Professor Hal Tasaki and Professor Masaki Oshikawa, are to be awarded the Nishina Memorial Prize in 2025 for their “Theoretical and mathematical studies of quantum spin systems.” We take this opportunity to celebrate their outstanding achievements, which have profoundly influenced the subjects of this workshop and inspired many in the community.

つい先日、田崎晴明教授（学習院大学）、押川正毅教授（物性研）が「量子スピン系の数理的研究」に対して 2025年度（第71回）仁科記念賞を受賞されることが決定しました (学習院大学ニュース; 物性研ニュース)。 お二方の一連の研究成果は、SPT相、テンソルネットワーク、整合性条件などの重要な概念の形成に大きく寄与し、多くの研究者に深い影響を与えてきました。 研究会および懇談会は、関係者の皆様とともに受賞をお祝いする機会ともさせて頂きたく存じます。

なお、談話会での押川教授の講演は日本語にて行われます（スライドは英語です）。 これまでの思い出も含む内容で、幅広い方々にお聞き頂ける講演を予定しています。
